Launch Your Own Home Based Retail Business

Launch your Home-Based retail business through the roof!

By: Donald Lee

You had a great idea when you decided to open a home-based Internet retail business. You became a "power seller," as people in the online retail business world call you. Your goal is to move tons of merchandise through Web auction sites and classifieds services without ever leaving the comfort of your home office. Drop shipping gives you the opportunity to accomplish your dreams and more. The sky is the limit if you know how to get your business off the ground.

Drop shipping can launch your business into successful orbit, but it isn't rocket science. With this unique way of doing business, you enlist the services of a wholesale merchandise company. The wholesale company takes care of the stockpiling and storing of your product. It even covers the shipping and handling charges when one of your customers orders an item.

This means you don't have to rent thousands of square feet to warehouse your inventory, and you're free from the liability that comes with direct delivery to your customers. Your only expenses are the membership fee of your particular wholesaler, along with the fees and percentages you lose to advertising and auctioning online. If you play your cards right with these fees, you can build yourself a very cost-effective-and most importantly, profitable-home-based business.

Experienced online retailers have learned the tricks of the trade to do just that. Here are the key secrets that they, your competitors, don't want you to know. These three tips will stack the deck in your favor, helping you to grow your clientele while avoiding the pitfalls of doing ecommerce.

Get sold on your wholesaler. Nowadays, wholesalers are a dime a dozen, so don't settle on the first one that comes your way. Let wholesalers compete for your business, instead of the other way around. Many companies may offer specials to new prospective retailers. They may waive the minimum order requirements, credit check, and prepayments if you sign up with them. Top-notch wholesalers could also offer international delivery or special net payment options. Avoid high expenses at the get-go by taking advantage of such specials, and turn a profit a lot quicker.

Sniff out whole-scammers. For every honest wholesaler looking to build a successful relationship with you, there's a crook out there looking to do nothing but build his bank account at your expense. Avoid any wholesaler, for instance, who demands you pay an advance fee before you sign up with them. Be wary of wholesalers who claim to have thousands of items in their selection. These might not be wholesalers at all, but middlemen who are trying to bluff you. Instead of actually stocking these thousands of products, they actually buy them from a wholesaler, or another middleman, and resell them to you at a jacked up price, thereby cutting into your profits.

Get wired to the Web wisely. You now have a trusted Wholesaler and outstanding products to move, but so do thousands of other Internet retailers. How can you stand out to attract customers and save money doing so? One way to make a mark online is to design and write your own ads for your products. Many wholesalers provide complimentary stock product photos and descriptions that you can use in your online ads and classifieds. Then again, they provide the same thing to all their retailers. Most retailers use them. So you shouldn't.

Another effective way to sell on the Web is to find new and innovative sites to sell on. The main auction sites are often crowded with retailers who are eager to undercut your prices. Plus, these auctioning sites tend to have high fees and shorter listing durations. Avoid competition and high prices by trying the next generation of premiere selling sites, such as free online classified sites.

Free online classifieds services work as powerful avenues to sell your goods. They offer attractive features your business needs to take off, such as:
  • No sign-up, registration, or transaction fees.
  • Free listing (text description and image upload).
  • Up to 60-day ad listing. This listing duration is light years longer than most other sites and renewals are free as well.
  • Distance calculator. This function comes in handy if you're concerned with locality.
These free online classified sites can be the ace up your sleeve, whether you're just launching your home-based Internet retail operation or trying to shoot for the stars with an established business. Strap yourself into your chair and count down to ignition.

Boost your Web Site Profits by Using Other People's Articles.

Using Other People's Articles To Boost Your Web Site Profits

By: Alexis Dawes

I've always been the kind of webmistress who has shyed away from using other people's articles on my web site. I figured once I got people to my site, I didn't want them clicking off willy-nilly to follow someone else's words of wisdom.
However recently I changed that song-and-dance. And if you're a webmaster who follows that line of thinking, you should probably re-think your strategy too. It's flawed for one very simple reason.
People are online mainly for information. And no matter what you do - or don't do - many of your sites visitors are eventually going to click off to your competitors web sites anyway.
That doesn't mean they won't buy something from you, or perform some other desired action. It's just a fact of doing business online, where your closest competitors are really just a click away.
That's why avid, hard core golfers buy golfing videos, subscriptions to golfing magazines, they read golfing books, they may even have simulated golf course video games at home. People just want great information, and they'll continue looking for it even if they've read volumes already.
So in all actuality by feeding this desire for information (your information... other people's information) you might actually be keeping visitors on your site longer, and giving them incentive to come back. Cool huh?
But more importantly, by including other people's articles on your site, you can also enhance your own profits.
How? Follow these simple steps:
1) Create an article directory on your existing site.
2) Collect targeted articles from directories like,, and so on. Add them to your sites article directory. Make sure that each article is given its own individual web page.
3) Add AdSense advertising or Affiliate Sensor ads to each article page. AdSense has optimization tips at ( Their hot zone map will help you determine the best placement for advertisements on your web page.
By following these 3 steps you've done a couple of things.
First and foremost you've created an additional revenue source. Each time someone clicks on an AdSense ad, you make money. Or if you opted for Affiliate Sensor ad's, each time someone clicks on one, and purchases something, you make money.
And secondly, you've added some new content for your sites visitors. This will keep them clicking around a lot longer.
It's easy, relatively painless, and you can continue adding new articles to further increase you profit opportunities. Just think of it as your good karma for giving the article authors a little free publicity.

Choose your Internet Marketing Niche and dominate it.

How To Choose An Internet Marketing Niche And Quickly Dominate It

By: Rick Miller

In a recent interview with Tellman Knudson for the List Crusade program, Shawn Casey revealed how to choose an Internet Marketing niche and crush your competition.
(Note: To access Shawn Casey's complete audio interview for free, see end of article)
Shawn's background as an attorney, author, publisher, company owner, corporate executive, public speaker, and teacher makes him uniquely qualified to show you how to be a success in Internet Marketing. Shawn is recognized one of the leading financial experts in the world. He is credited with making and saving thousands of people millions of dollars because of the valuable information he provides.
Listen closely to what Shawn has to say:
"Let's say you know something about rose gardening. You love rose gardening. You're probably an expert at it, even though you don't realize it, because this is your passion.
Your marketplace would be other people that are interested in rose gardening. You can create a report, audio, video... something that is valuable information about rose gardening... maybe how to prune to do something. I don't know much about rose gardening, so I don't specifically know what that would be.
Then you go find the people who have traffic with people coming in looking to buy roses, information about how to care for their roses, what roses to plant, where to plant them, how to trim them, how to cut them, and all that cool stuff that people do.
You then go to those people who are driving in traffic and acquiring subscribers. You say to them, 'Listen, I've got this information that is of value to your visitors. So when you offer it to them, Mr. Rose Grower, you're going to be a good guy. You're giving them free information that they'd otherwise have to go down to the garden store or Home Depot and give money for. You're giving it away free. That's going to help you out and help your creditability, make your customers like you better, make you seem like a nice guy, and help you build your list.'
In turn, you get a little good will, good karma, some subscribers, and potentially customers. Obviously, you don't need to tell them this. This is just something for them to figure out. They're distributing your product that leads them back to your website so that they might buy from you. This doesn't hurt them at all because you're not competing with them directly.
Using this method, we piggyback on that related market because we provide the information, while they provide the product."
In the List Crusade interview, Shawn also revealed:
  • How to ethically cheat building your list fast and cheap by leveraging your resources
  • Two steps to quickly become the acknowledged expert in any niche
  • Is banner advertising dead?
  • Get paid to build your list for free
  • What is the one secret way to test your website for less than $30?
As you read Shawn's secrets of how to quickly achieve success in any niche, you begin to realize the tremendous potential and knowledge you already possess. So the only question is, will you take the next step and take action today?

Easy Making Money

The Challenges of Working at Home Online

A Work From Home Online Business Is Not For Everyone

As you might know working from home has many advantages: Freedom, no boss, more time available, flexible schedule, no limits on income to name a few. This interesting article will focus around some of the most notable challenges you will have to face at some point when you decide to work at home.
Starting a business means hard work and long working hours. It isn’t that easy. Sure, those long working hours are all dedicated toward your own business. It’s also your time and effort, and the work must be done.
If you own a business that you love and feel passionate about it, then the work will be more like playing and you’ll enjoy doing it, that’s a desirable thing to have but at the end of the day, you will definitively be tired like anybody else, and sometime feeling like you’re not making any progress. It is here when you will need to adjust your plan and keep going.
You will need to have a smart business plan, and be able to adapt your plan as you go, particularly when you reach limits, ceiling, and hurdles; which will inevitably happen. Earning money it’s a bit hard to achieve, specially at the beginning.
You must be well organized, persistent and focused on what you’re doing. Take into account that income is a bit hard to obtain at the beginning, so what you gain in high income potential having your own business, you’ll lose in health insurance, earning security, retirement plans, and other jobs benefits.
With isolation you have no colleague to whom share ideas, consult, or ask for advice. This is specially difficult if you live alone. You will need to seek these types of relationships elsewhere and find strength looking for people you can relate to for guidance, or just for mingling about your business.
You will have to find ways to motivate yourself. Without much interruptions or a boss to answer to, you need to provide this situation yourself. Interruptions force us to take breaks on us, which in turn, tend to increase productivity. You need to think how you will ensure that you take breaks at certain intervals.
When building a business, a plan is a must. If you are not an organized person, you will face this problem. This also apply to your marketing efforts, which will be a big part of your tasks when running a business. It must be well planned and executed everyday.
Also you must evaluate the success of your activities and review them every week to have a clear picture about where you stand. If things are not going as plan, revise your plan, and identify what needs to be changed in order to reach your goal. Also it helps incorporating your tasks into your daily activities.
You’ll need to find creative ways to sell, no matter what your business is; be it a product, service, of your own or someone else. You will always have to respond to or please someone beside yourself in order to reach the ultimate goal of earning money. At some point, you will need to balance your income goals, your desire for creativity, and the demands of your clients.
Sometimes your creativity is in sync with what your clients want or in some situations, you’ll need to sacrifice our creative freedom in order to meet your income goals. That’s the reason why the needs and desires of your clients will influence how our creativity manifests in the final product and/or service delivery. It’s a matter of balancing your income goals with your desire for maximum creativity results.
When you work from home you can decide when you work, but might run the risk of sacrificing your own personal time. You need to make up the time somewhere, the work has to be done. You might want to complete it during the weekends, nights, or any other time you wish, but you will find that balancing work and other daily tasks can become stressful and quite challenging.
If you have a family you might find yourself into an argument about the extra time you spend doing work. If you live along, you might run the risk of compromising your personal time. That’s why you need to think about where you will place the line between work and personal life. It is a balancing act.
Final Thoughts
This article is meant to prepare you for the challenges and difficulties you’ll have to overcome when pursuing our dream of starting your own work at home business. I’m not trying to discourage you in any way, instead I want you to be aware of these challenges so you’ll know what to expect in advance.
Working at home is hard work. It can be made easier by looking for or creating work that you already know how to do, or that you’re really passionate about. Start with ideas that you are good at it and really love to do. If you make the decision to start your own business, you’ll have to plan how you will handle these challenges. Having a home based business can be exciting but definitively, it is not for everyone.

Working AT home Online -Guideline

Basic Truths About Working At Home Online

What Do I Know About this subject?
For two years I sat at my computer every day and tried to start an online business. Here are some of the basic truths I learned about online businesses.
What Kind of Online Business Do You Want?
Let’s have a look at what kind of online businesses there are. I will talk about five types of internet businesses, three of which I recommend and the other two I have doubts about.
1. Selling Good or Services
Many people have made a respectable living on the internet by selling goods such as clothing, groceries, books etc. Others have successfully sold services such as job directories, writing services and training courses in fields as diverse as udon noodle making to university degrees. These businesses do not differ much from those down your main street except that you can see their wares displayed on their websites.
2. Selling Someone Else’s Goods and Services For A Commission.
On the internet this is usually known as Affiliate Marketing. In this situation you find a business that is already running successfully, and you advertise and sell their product in any way that you can. When you make a sale, you receive a percentage of the proceeds as a commission – often as much as 75% or even more.
You can find affiliate programs that will suit you by googling ‘affiliate programs’ into your browser, or going to sites such as or Clickbank.
3. Taking Surveys
There are a lot of programs on the internet that offer money for taking surveys or for testing a product and writing an appraisal of it. These are usually not big money earners, but can provide good pocket money.
I have only had one problem with these programs. I am retired and don’t belong to the right demographic group. It seems that there are very few companies that are interested in feedback from retired people!
1. Multi Level Marketing (MLM)
This is one of the main types of business offered on the internet, and in the real world too. It is basically a system of selling in which you sign up other people to assist you, and they, in turn, recruit others to help them. Any income earned from recruiting or from sales of the product is divided between the “levels” of agents that have been recruited.
However, there are many multi-level distributorship schemes that are nothing more than sophisticated chain letters, which we have probably all received and delegated to the “trash” file. They operate as a “pyramid,” claiming participants can earn lots of money by concentrating most, if not all, of their efforts on recruiting distributors rather than selling a product.
“Multi-level marketing is system of marketing which puts more emphasis upon the recruiting of distributors than on the selling of products. As such, it is intrinsically flawed. MLM is very attractive, however, because it sells hope and appears to be outside the mainstream of business as usual. It promises wealth and independence to all. Unfortunately, no matter what the product, MLM is doomed to produce more failures than successes. For every MLM distributor who makes a decent living or even a decent supplemental income, there are at least ten who do little more than buy products and promotional materials, costing them much more than they will ever earn as an MLM agent. The most successful MLM scheme is Amway. It has millions of distributors worldwide with sales in the billions. At the turn of the century, the average Amway distributor earned about $700 a year in sales, but spent about $1,000 a year on Amway products. Distributors also have other expenses related to the business, e.g., telephone, gas, motivational meetings, and publicity material” Check out the full article at: Also have a look at my blog: Doubts About Internet Marketing! – – As you can see, I am not recommending this type of “business”.
2. Selling Websites
By this I mean those programs in which you pay a fee to be given a website, and your business is to get other people to link on to your website and pay a fee to get a website of their own. They then do the same thing and try and get people to their website to pay a fee . . . and so on!
Both of these are capable of bringing in an income of sorts, but you have to be an exceptional salesperson to make MLM work.

How to Make Money Online

Be Creative and Make Money Online.

Make Money Online by Being Creative

If you want to make money online while working from your home you do have to be creative.

John Burnside
If you want to make money online while working from your home you do have to be creative. If you are really creative with your hands and are into crafts you can certainly create a lot of craft items and then sell them in an online shop. This online shop may be someone else’s shop or you could start your own online shop. Again this will take creativity because you have to distinguish your shop from the others that are out there in cyberspace. You can sell your own crafts on one of the online auction sites such as esty. You can either set it as a bid type setup or open your open store and have everything be buy it now. You do have to pay the owner of the site something for the privilege of letting you sell on their site. Because they have already been creative and started this site so they can make money online too.
There are other ways to make money online such as starting your own blog. You don’t even have to set up your own blog but you can get someone else to set it up for you. You just have to search the internet to find the right person to set it up for you. They may do it for free or you may have to pay them to set it up properly. Of course you will have to choose what it is you want to blog about. There are some very good blog sites such as some of those that just blog about designer handbags. If they attract a lot of attention and get a lot of people writing on the blog it will attract attention of various advertisers who will be willing to advertise on that blog site.
Say you wanted to start a blog site about restaurants in the pacific Northwest or even narrow it down to one state then you would either figure out how to set it up by trial and error or get someone else to set it up for you. It all depends on what skills you have and how fast you can learn how to perform this task. Once you have the blog up and running you would have to get people to come to the site. You can create some buzz by contacting some of the restaurants by telephone or through emails and put your blog site within the emails that you send out so people might open them and start to blog on your sit also. You could also contact some local papers or magazines all of which have websites that you can contact with your blog information.
What you are doing here is basic advertising for a new business but you are using the internet to do it instead of hanging vinyl banners outside your front door which probably would not generate you much blog traffic anyway. There are also internet services that can help you generate traffic also so be creative and you will succeed.

Viable Home Based Business Ideas

Homework - I Mean, Working At Home

Whether downsized, outsourced, or sick and tired of cubicle hell, more people are earning their living by working at home. The work at home industry is booming with a diverse lot of income earning opportunities. People of all skill and education levels can find a niche in this market. And the driving force that allows such an option is the Internet.

Internet technology has enabled former office rats to do their work at home. Armed with a computer, fax, and telephone, employees from back office data entry to management staff are able to perform part or all of their jobs at home. The telecommuting option is appreciated by workers as it allows them more freedom and control over the work day and more time to spend with families. Companies find that this set up often improves employee morale and productivity.

Net Work

Earning money via the Internet has become an increasingly popular option in the work at home industry. Chances are you know someone who sells merchandise on eBay. Many online merchants are working out of their homes. The Internet offers a wealth of opportunities for writers to earn a living at the keyboard. People with an Internet-based career often start on a part-time basis while working their regular office gig. Once their "web job" takes off, they escape the office grind for full-time work at home.

Home Base

Another option in the work at home industry is a home-based business where you go out in the field to provide services for customers. This is a wide open opportunity - think of any product or service that people need and, viola, you have a business. Again, with the Internet, advertising for your home business is no longer a burden. For example, the senior population is exploding. Start an elder service that helps seniors with light housekeeping, grooming, and transportation. Two career families and busy folks in general equal a business for you running errands such as shopping, chauffeuring kids, and picking up dry cleaning.

You can strike out on your own with these home-based businesses or buy a franchise. Franchises offer a brand name people know and trust along with marketing support from the headquarters office. Start up costs can be out of reach for a lot of people, however, there are hundreds of franchise options in the work at home industry that will fit with small budgets.

Scam Alert

The Internet and print and broadcast media are full of ads for great-sounding work at home opportunities. Sadly, the work at home industry is full of scam companies that advertise high income home-based jobs. Some ads are specific while others are vague and keep you in the dark about the exact nature of the pie in the sky venture.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Do your research before you plunge into any work at home opportunity. Talk with others who are working at home. Check out franchises or Internet opportunities with the Better Business Bureau. Despite the scam artists, there are thousands of options in the work at home industry and one of them will suit you.

Great Home Based work ideas

4 Great Work At Home Ideas

How To Make Money From Home

Nikita Phillips
Nowadays a lot of people are looking to the internet for ideas on how to make extra money from their own homes. The good news is that it is possible to find and do the the right part time online job from home.
The trick in order to become successful is to find the right opportunity amongst the many make money opportunities that are available on the net. I will explain a few great online income earners and show you how to find and do them successfully.
Part Time Jobs - Freelancing
By definition, freelancing involves individuals who are not working for just one company but for a variety of companies.
Although freelancing is a great way to earn money online, your success will naturally depend on the type of skills you possess. Certain freelancing work programs involve very specific skills like bookkeeping, programming, etc whilst others require more basic skills levels like answering the phone, entering data, etc.
In order to progress to freelancing as a way to earn income every day, you will first need to decide what skills you have that might be beneficial to prospective employers. Do you have a certain skill or set of skills that you are excellent at? What tasks can you perform adequately? Do you possess any special training that you can put to use?
Once you have proper positive answers to these questions and are able to provide yourself with a genuine skills assessment, then you now need to search for online jobs on the internet with your defined skills in mind. The internet is abound with literally hundreds of websites whose primary purpose is to put together freelancers with project providers. All you need do is use the proper search terms in your favorite search engine, peruse sites that come up and make contact with project providers whose work you feel you can handle.
A blog is actually a website where the blog writer (blogger) writes content on either a specific or a variety of topics. Visitors who have similar interests visit the blog regularly to read the content, leave comments, be updated on current news, etc. Just about anyone can start up a blog and become bloggers and the best thing about this is that it can be done for free. Huge blog platforms offer people the opportunity to open free blogs which can normally be started in a few minutes.
The best way to approach this is to blog about a specific niche or interest. If your blog is fresh, regularly updated and has great unique content, then search engines will rank it higher and you get more visitors.
As soon as you have established yourself in a specific niche and your blog becomes busy, you can now start to make money from it. One effective way is to put up text or banner ads for other sites and charge them a monthly fee. Alternatively you can place ads from large ad networks and get a cut of the advertising clicks. Another way is to do affiliate marketing by putting up product write-ups and reviews and inserting your affiliate link.
Ecommerce Sites
Ecommerce sites account for millions of dollars of sales that take place on the net every single day. Ecommerce is a very big topic and as such cannot be explained completely in just one short article. However, I will provide you with a brief summary on how you can profit with an ecommerce site.
Ecommerce stands for electronic commerce and it involves commerce being conducted by electronic means ie. through the internet. In this instance, products and services are offered for sale on the internet and the purchase of these products or services also take place on the internet as well. Examples of products could be ebooks, cds, dvds, tvs, etc. Examples of services could be advertising, hosting, etc.
Your first step would be to decide what product or service you will offer and whether these will sell and are suitable to be sold efficiently through the internet. Your next step will be to secure an appropriate domain name, take up hosting and then build a website displaying your product/service thereby making your offer. As the buy and sell process takes place electronically, you will need some sort of electronic payment option like credit card acceptance. For this, you will need a merchant account or link up with a third party payment processor. You will also need to establish effective delivery of your product or service to the customer. For instance, will it be delivered electronically or will you have to ship it to the customer?
In order to get prospective shoppers to your site, you will have to do some internet marketing. You may use paid methods like pay-per-click advertising and banner ads or you can choose a free method like SEO or article marketing, word of mouth, etc.
Earning With Photography
Online earning with photography is becoming very popular as it is easy to do and pays quite well. No, you do not need to be an expert to make money from this online opportunity - you just need to be able to take decent pictures. This income opportunity works like this: Many web designers, software developers, print and electronic publishers are constantly needing images to use in their product. A large number of images websites have cropped up catering for this need. These websites list images from freelance photographers. If an image is chosen to be used, the user will have to pay a once-off royalty fee. This fee is then split between the images website and the photographer.
To start off, visit these images websites (search for them on your favorite search engine) and see what images are popular - these sites normally list how many downloads each image has had. The more downloads, the more popular an image is. Now, take pics very similar or even better than the popular listed ones. Register with these images websites and upload your images. If somebody chooses your image and downloads it, you get a commission.
I hope my little article has been interesting and beneficial to you. Maybe I have helped make things a little clearer for you and provided you with a starting point on making money online.

A Beginner's Guide to Internet Marketing

Starting An Internet Business - A Beginner's Guide

The internet has become a new and fast way to do business and there are internet businesses popping up all the time.

Nikita Phillips
The internet has become a new and fast way to do business and there are internet businesses popping up all the time. This is mainly because nearly half the population owns a computer. The internet allows you to make purchases for about anything without having to get out of bed or leave your home. It has made stores like Home Depot, offer items that are not available in the store to be directly delivered to your store or home.
This six step guide will show you how to start your own internet business and help you get it off the ground. The term often used for businesses online is called E-businesses and this term is often used in other sites that offer information on internet businesses.
Do research on products and services that you feel the public would want. Find out what would sell frequently. This exercise will help you to decide what kind of business will best suit you. You will therefore have a better chance of success when you know your customers and clients needs and wants. Choose services that you enjoy doing yourself and products that are unique because to be able to keep your business running, you have to love what you do and enjoy doing it. Selling unique products is an advantage because there will not be very many stores or products like yours.
Set yourself goals that you would like for your business. Plan out a realistic budget for your business so that you have sufficient capital to spread out ensuring your business does not run bankrupt while building a name and gaining popularity. Also remember to plan a layout of your store, decide how you would like your store to look like and what products and services you are going to be offering to the public.
There are a lot of information on how to set up your own site and there are a lot of places that will help you do this. You will need a domain name to start your internet business and people feel safe to do business with sites that have paid for a domain name. This will also help you to become registered with GOOGLE easier. The domain name you choose should match whatever product or service that you trying to sell because this makes it easier for people to search for that specific product or service. Your website will be retrieved easily. Now with your domain name, you will need a hosting provider. A hosting provider is a place for you to set your website. There are a lot of free hosting providers available. If you want added features to suit your needs, then rather pay for a host provider and get exactly what you need to make your business work. It is worth the time to shop around for domain names and host providers so that you can make sure to get value for your money.
Aim to create a website business that is easy for people to use. Add special services or features like a paypal button so that people can navigate their way through quickly and easily. A shopping cart on your website can also help people to have items that they have chosen waiting for them until they are finished shopping for all the things that they require. The shopping cart is recommended for businesses that have numerous items for sale.
Marketing your business is the way to get your business out there. It is a way to let people know that your site exists. Places like GOOGLE and YAHOO will allow you to place your business ad along the side of other sites for a fee. Also register your internet business so that sites like Alexa will recognize you.
Always be at the top of your game and keep up with the competitors but remember to also be different. If your competitors are offering an item at a special price try and offer a discount on one of your items. This will help customers to come back to your site. This will help you not to lose money and customers to your competitors.

Work From Home- Is it really Plausible

Work from Home: A How To

A guide to a good business plan that will make you money buying and selling online. This will get you started running a small business.

John Burnside
There are so many out-of-works, underemployed, or just would be entrepreneurs who are looking for a way to work from their homes and make money. Rest assured, be it a part-time job to earn extra income, or running a small, full-time business, people are working from home and succeeding. The key to working from home is to 1) adhere to the law of Supply and Demand, and 2) treat your work-from-home job like an office job. If you follow these rules rigidly then there is absolutely no reason why you cannot get out of the job you are doing now and work for yourself.
The law of Supply and Demand
The first test in any Economics 101 class will cover the law of “Supply and Demand”. Basically it is this: if there is a demand, there will be a supply. If there is a want or need someone will step up to fill it. How this effects you is quite simple. You need to fulfill a community demand. Where it gets less simple is in defining “demand”. “Demand” is also relative to the supply. What that means is that while people may want Mary Kay cosmetics, there may be too many suppliers in your region for that particular demand. So your work from home business must: Meet a known demand Be either a unique supplier, or one of a few suppliers.
The trick is in accomplishing this. Here is a step-by-step approach to coming up with your work from home business idea: 1.Make a list of products or services that you need. If you need them, chances are someone else does, too. 2.Scratch off those ideas that cannot either be done in your home, or performed from/run out of your home 3.Do some research, asking yourself: who else is supplying this product or service, what are their rates, what do they give you for the price. 4.Scratch off those products or services that have more then four suppliers in your region 5.Scratch off those products or services that are too costly in start up or maintenance. 6.Pick from the list of what’s left.
Treat your home office like it’s in a fancy high rise.
One mistake that lots of people make when they work from home is to work at the kitchen table, the sofa, their bed, etc. If you want your business to work (and for you to receive tax deductions) create an office space and work in it. Keeping a home office allows you to deduct: Some of your monthly mortgage or rent Some of your utilities Some of your phone or broadband bill Computers, fax machines, phones, etc Office supplies Without a separate office space you cannot utilize these deductions, and they are very good deductions come tax season so if there is no other incentive, think about that one.
Keep regular office hours. Treat your work from home business like any other legitimate business enterprise. Invest in office equipment and proper software. Show your customers and the IRS that you mean business. Thousands of people have successful people have run businesses out of their home and you can, too. Just be following these steps and keep the faith.
